Abstract: AbstractThe new global knowledge economy imposes numerous challenges for countries and enterprises in order to survive and stay competitive in the current dynamic and global marketplace. Rapid change of technology and aggressive competition in international market highlight the importance of creating new strategies to apply management of technology fundamentals including creating, acquiring and transferring of know-how with a view of integrating technology within the business model for enterprises. Egypt as a developing country considers Small and Medium Enterprises as an important component for the development of the Egyptian economy and for creation of jobs. In order for the Egyptian Small and Medium enterprises to achieve the country's economic development goals, they should pursue new and innovative technologies and follow progressive management strategies in order to stay competitive within the current global economy.This paper proposes the establishment of a management of technology support center to provide a set of services to the small and medium enterprises in order to effect a sustainable economic development.
