Abstract: AbstractKnowing and understanding the problems of achieving an optimum competitive position is the first step to finding the solution. In this chapter, there are listed ten practices called "management errors". These are often encountered faulty practices that lead to a high likelihood of less than optimum operating decisions and lead to increasing the likelihood that the firm will cause itself to become less competitive. They are all correctible. Some of these practices can be defended because under some conditions, they work and while some of the practices are intuitively appealing, they also tend to tempt management to make incorrect decisions…
