AbstractIt is an honor to participate in a Festschrift for Alan Deardorff. Alan is a master theorist. He has made major contributions to our understanding of so many economic concepts and relationships in international economics with his modeling and analytical skills. Moreover, he has done so in an exceptionally clear manner, often using geometry as well as algebra to make his points.
