AbstractSo far, this book has conceptually addressed the topic of international investments twice. The first time was to evaluate the capacity of international investments to promote development and the role of government and institutions. Then I went on to discuss how international investments could be promoted and regulated. I will now return to this topic and raise some other points to complement the earlier chapters. Here I have four objectives: (1) to raise the good and bad aspects, (2) to address the need for a national/regional strategy, (3) to emphasize the need for companies to search the world for opportunities and (4) to address the role of governments…
