Abstract: China is the second biggest economy in East Asia, and its growth over the last two to three decades has been unparalleled in the region. This has laid the economic foundation for China to participate in East Asian currency cooperation. With its rapid economic growth and deepening business cooperation with neighbors in East Asia, China will undoubtedly play a key role in promoting East Asian currency cooperation.
