Chapter 21 in Open Innovation: A Multifaceted Perspective:(In 2 Parts), 2016, pp 571-600 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
Open innovation has proven its value for many organisations, both in the public sector as well as for private companies. However, it is not evident which competences have to be available within the network of organisations that collaborate to innovate. In this chapter, we present, on the basis of a large number of case studies, competences needed in open innovation networks, as well as best practices to make use of them. We specifically look into the role of innovation intermediaries as a core player in the network.
