Abstract:
Despite the unfavorable economic climate of the 2008–2014, there has been an increase in investment for innovation globally, especially in the vast majority of emerging economies where spending in R&D is resolutely ascendant. Indeed, while the US participation in the global R&D effort reached 32.8% in 2012, the Asian participation increased from 34% in 2010 to 35.5% in 2011, eventually reaching 36.7% in 2012. Investments in Europe have remained stable, going from 24.8% in 2010 to 24.5% in 2011 and 24.1% in 2012…
