Abstract:
Chinese multinational companies are instrumental in fostering the sustainable economic growth of Kazakhstan. This analysis evaluates their impact on Kazakhstan’s economy through various dimensions, including the proportion of direct investments made by these companies, the sectors they invest in, the scale and geographic distribution of their investments, and the types of investment projects they undertake. To establish a solid statistical foundation, the research is based on the comprehensive data provided by the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Commerce of China. Chinese multinational corporations have invested heavily in Kazakhstan, securing the fourth position in terms of total investment volume. They have a widespread presence across various regions and sectors. Their economic engagement has enhanced Kazakhstan’s infrastructure, increased employment opportunities, spurred the growth of associated industries, and fostered the development of green energy in the country. Chinese multinational companies play an important role in promoting the sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s economy.
