Chapter 55 in The Role of Entrepreneurship in Resolving Modern Global Economic Problems:A Systemic Review, 2026, pp 579-586 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: Retail trade is one of the sectors of the Russian economy that is experiencing positive growth and actively adopting new formats, including the use of digital technologies. This research addresses the practical implementation of contemporary retail formats, their further improvement, and their application to consumer cooperative stores. The relevance of the chosen research topic is driven by the need to solve the significant socio-economic issue of providing consumer goods to the populations of all municipal districts, including small settlements. One solution to this problem is the use of a unified communication environment with multiple touchpoints – a multi-channel retail approach. The proposed strategy will ensure high-quality customer service and provide access to essential product information regardless of the customer’s location. In the competitive struggle for the target audience, it is suggested to adopt a progressive retail format that offers flexibility, convenient communication, and personalized customer service. Mobile shops have been proposed as one of the mobile tools for supporting an advanced retail format. It contributes to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty to branded stores, as well as enhancing the recognition of the consumer cooperative trademark.
