Governance and Pro-Poor Growth in Africa

Olu Ajakaiye

Working Papers from African Economic Research Consortium

Abstract: The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) seeks to build capacity for independent policy-oriented economic research in Africa through its research, training and outreach/communications programmes. This is based on the premise that development is more likely to occur where there is sound economic management, which in turn, is more likely where there is an active, world class and well-informed group of locally based economists to conduct policy-relevant research.
