No 21992, 2003 Annual meeting, July 27-30, Montreal, Canada from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Benefit and cost estimates for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) are given. The 2002 Farm Bill increased EQIP funding five fold and allows a broader scope of participation. Estimates for seven classes of environmental benefits and the sensitivity of those estimates to program implementation alternatives are included.
