Abstract:
Sugar production and marketing in Brazil takes place under a complex set of controls governed by the Institute for Sugar and Alcohol IAA. Backed by federal legislation, the IAA exerts control over sugar production, sugar and sugarcane prices, and domestic and export marketing.
