Donald A. West and Stanley F. Hoppe

No 284063, 1975 Annual Meeting, August 10-13, Columbus, Ohio from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Occupational mobility among farmworkers from 1965-70 was toward blue-collar, jobs while the greatest growth in employment and highest levels of earnings were associated with white-collar occupations. Farmworkers may not be aware of the range of opportunities avail able to them which suggests the need for rural manpower services.
