Abstract:
This paper introduces an additional economic variable into the traditional demand model. The purpose of this variable is to help explain the movement of beef demand during the unusual conditions of 1972-1973 and to predict any subsequent demand changes in the future that might occur under conditions similar to those observed in the early 1970's.
