RETURNS TO ON-FARM STORAGE OF WINTER WHEAT IN MONTANA

Al S. Brogan

No 284486, 1975 Annual Meeting, August 10-13, Columbus, Ohio from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Each year, at harvest, wheat farmers face many marketing decisions. Such questions as where should the crop be sold, and what mode of transportation should be used must be answered. However, each of these questions presumes an answer to a more basic question: should the crop be sold immediately, or should the crop be stored for later sale.
