No 284201, 1978 Annual Meeting, August 6-9, Blacksburg, Virginia from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Fresh-market vegetable production has been advocated as a means of improving incomes of small farmers in northern Florida and southern Georgia. The role ~f price variability, price flexibility and income elasticities in improving price expectations and evaluating crop selection is discussed. These concepts are applied to the analysis of poten- _tial "market windows" for area growers.
