MODELING RURAL GROWTH

Clark Edwards

No 277827, 1979 Annual Meeting, July 29-August 1, Pullman, Washington from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: This paper addresses three obstacles to modeling rural growth: models, data, and theory. Some of the obstacles are inherent in the way we approach the modeling process; some are attributed to limitations of available data; and others stem from failure to incorporate relevant theory.
