TOWARD A RESOLUTION OF THE ALLOCATABLE INPUT DILEMMA

C. Shumway

No 278932, 1984 Annual Meeting, August 5-8, Ithaca, New York from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Relationships between system and single-equation specifications of technology for the multi-product firm are explored and extended. The Just-Zilberman- Hochman assertions are altered by allocation costs but not by technical interdependence in production. Partially maintaining the behavioral objective does not affect duality relationships. Some are reversible; others are not.
