Abstract: This study evaluates the economic impacts on the export wheat logistics system from marketing structure changes. Without the former Rock Island rail service, results reveal that impact on total system was small while that on a more localized area was greater. Substantial coot savings and significant role played by subterminals indicate the feasibility of constructing trainload facilities in the area.
