No 271075, 1991 Annual Meeting, August 4-7, Manhattan, Kansas from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: This paper reports the regional economic impacts of increased recreation visitation from delaying drawdown at four reservoirs in western North Carolina on the six-county area where the reservoirs lie. Visitation and economic indicators were very responsive to water level management policy, especially at reservoirs with the greatest recreation infrastructure development.
