No 271414, 1994 Annual Meeting, August 7-10, San Diego, California from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Data from two recent household surveys in Africa are used to estimate growth multipliers. The paper provides evidence of larger multipliers and stronger nonfarm linkages than previously attributed to African smallholders. It indicates that broad-based agricultural growth will have large indirect benefits to the local economy.
