DEALING WITH HEALTH CONCERNS IN NATURAL RESOURCE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

Diane Hite, John Hoehn () and Alan Randall

No 21652, 1999 Annual meeting, August 8-11, Nashville, TN from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: We employ a combination of survey design and econometric techniques to explore ways to deal with health concerns in restoration projects where environmental injuries are severe. We use data from a referendum contingent valuation survey for a natural resource restoration project to demonstrate the extent to which health concerns can be controlled.
