Trading Under Risk and Uncertainty in an Agricultural Water Market in Chile
No 271490, 1999 Annual meeting, August 8-11, Nashville, TN from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)
Risk and uncertainty in a water market generate trading patterns different from those expected under perfect foresight. Using data on leasing and permanent rights transactions collected from farmer surveys in Chile's Llmarl river basin, hypotheses regarding water market participation and the effect of risk on those decisions are tested.
