Abstract:
The productivity and technical efficiency of wheat growers were estimated using the stochastic frontier production function analysis. The study is based on primary data collected from 720 wheat growers regarding their personal, family, and farm profiles; size of harvests; and input use and management practices during the year 2006-07. A multistage random sampling framework was used to select two tehisls of district Faisalabad, two union councils (UCs) from each tehsil, and 3 villages from each UC.
