Abstract:
Martinique and Guadeloupe are two islands of tlie Caribbean integrated into the European Community as French departments, The organization of the common market of Banana of 1993 distinguishes between bananas from the community members from those produced by ACP countries and undeveloped nations. 'Iltis dcvicc is intended to safe guard tlie interest of producers from the community. The commercial members of the European Community should permit the continuity of Litis activity in the banana production in die French Antilles. I lus activity is crucial for maintaining an economical and social balance in these territories.
