Abstract: Intensive horticultural crop production is limited in Martinique due lo rain distribution and inconvenicnces tied to low soil fertility. In order to overcome diese limitations, since 1984, growers have relied on two types of greenhouse production systems, first the Hors-Sol and then the Pleine-Tene. Through financial support provided by the Chamber of Agricultural and research conducted by CIRAD some limitations have been overcome lo the point dial in 1996 there aie 13 ha of greenhouses installed Tliis communication will attempt to answer what arc the cost and profitability associated with these production methods.
