Abstract:
Excerpts from the Foreword: This bibliography is a supplement to Agricultural Economics Bibliography No. 70, Farm Tenancy in the United. States, 1918-1936, published in June 1937. The present bibliography, the scope and arrangement of which are the same as those of the former one, contains references to books, pamphlets and periodical articles on farm tenancy, leases and leasing systems, and the southern share cropping system published during the period 1937-1939. It also includes references to a few publications issued in 1940 and to a few issued in 1935 and 1936 which were not included in Agricultural Economics Bibliography No. 70. Items bearing a 1937 date which were listed in Agricultural Economics Bibliography No. 70 have been repeated in the present bibliography. The bibliography is in three main sections. The first contains general references relating to the United States as a whole; the second, references arranged by geographical divisions; and the third, references arranged by States and territorial possessions. An author and subject index is appended.
