Abstract:
This Statistical supplement provides indexes of social well-being and rankings for 3,097 U.S. counties. This detailed information supplements research reported in RDRR-10 INDICATORS OF SOCIAL WELL-BEING FOR U.S. COUNTIES. In that study, Census and vital statistics data (circa 1970) were used to produce composite indicators of socioeconomic, health, and family status, and alienation. National patterns of these composites were depicted in U. S. county maps and through mean index scores of counties grouped by metro-nonmetro status and rural-urban orientation.
