Allocation of Advertising and Research Dollars In the Florida Orange-Juice Industry: Supply and Demand Elasticity Considerations

Abstract: This study shows how the mix of advertising and research that maximizes net revenue for a commodity can be approximated for given values of market prices, margins and quantities, along with price elasticities of supply and demand, and the elasticity of demand with respect to advertising and the elasticity of supply and the price margin with respect to research.
