Abstract:
Despite their application in research and political consultancy, crop planning models have been rarely adopted in agricultural practice. High data requirements are claimed to be one of the main reasons for the implementation gap. The research objective of this contribution therefore was to create a crop planning model that focuses on both farm adaptation as well as usability. In order to achieve this goal, an interactive web-application was built. Through the use of linked open data, the application allows to create a personalised and optimised cropping plan within less than 10 minutes.
