Abstract: This policy paper offers an insight into the potential impact of climate change on major kharif and rabi crop yields in different agro-climatic zones. It also provides useful inputs to formulate viable adaptation and mitigation strategies and policy options to combat the discernible effects of climate change on Indian agriculture. Constructive comments from the readers shall be useful to improve the research work in this area.
