Abstract:
National ranch financial statement and beef cattle enterprise production and financial performance measuring standardization has been developed through consensus agreement of users. The standards are becoming an important management tool in the United States. Standardization facilitates education, data base development and more effective performance analysis. Measuring performance is necessary to manage for performance. Opportunities exist for greater standardization of measures and terminology in farm and ranch management internationally and would greatly facilitate international exchange of performance information.
