Holistic Management: A Farmer's Perspective

Ian Mitchell-Innes

No 346551, 12th Congress, Durban, South Africa, July 18-24, 1999 from International Farm Management Association

Abstract: The difference Holistic Management has made, socially, financially and ecologically, to our family and farm. Holistic Management is a relatively new decision-making framework, developed over the last thirty years in several countries. It has enabled us to move towards our desired life style, while improving our profitability and veld. Holistic Management provides farmers with a vehicle to enter the new millennium with confidence, knowing they can compete on world markets while taking steps to improve the environment The above is substantiated by figures where possible
