Abstract:
This paper reviews data on participation of women in the Guatemalan labor force, discusses the implications of their work for development, and reviews the impact of selected government policies and programs on women's situation. Emphasis will be placed on reviewing women's participation in the labor force in the different economic sectors of the country.
