Abstract:
Non-parametric measures of pre- and post URAA period trade openness for dairy products in key dairy product-trading countries are calculated. Import penetration and export performance are regressed on economic variables to gauge their influences on the two measures. Modest changes in trade openness are suggested but identifying influences is difficult.
