No 34830, 2007 Annual Meeting, February 4-7, 2007, Mobile, Alabama from Southern Agricultural Economics Association

Abstract: Dynamic optimization compared the NPV of manure and ammonium fertilizers on irrigated corn. Yield, soil residual nitrogen and pH functions were estimated from a six year experiment in Oklahoma. Results show that given prices of corn and nitrogen fertilizer, animal manures provide a higher NPV of return than ammonia fertilizer.
