Availability of Poultry Litter as an Alternative Energy Feedstock: The Case for Mississippi

Abstract: This study will examine the poultry industry in a 9 county area in Mississippi, estimate the availability of poultry litter as a feedstock for the production of energy and ethanol. The study will use a X, Y coordinate model to locate a production facility that minimizes transportation costs.
