Assessing Sustainability of Agricultural Systems: Evidence from a Conjoint Choice Survey

Olha Sydorovych and Ada Wossink

No 34889, 2007 Annual Meeting, February 4-7, 2007, Mobile, Alabama from Southern Agricultural Economics Association

Abstract: This study identifies a list of economic, social, and ecological agricultural sustainability attributes based on experts' opinions. Next, the attributes are used in a conjoint choice experiment which enables direct extraction of the relative impact of the attributes and attribute levels on individual respondents' perception of overall sustainability.
