Abstract:
O artigo objetivou caracterizar a ocupação da pecuária de corte em Mato Grosso, enfocando diferentes aspectos do processo histórico e econômico, bem como da sua manutenção. Permitiu explicar as diversas tecnologias usadas na pecuária de corte a partir da colonização, classificando o estado em diferentes regiões e com características distintas. Identifica-se ainda a ampliação da produção e da qualidade do rebanho relacionada à migração recebida pelo estado com a produção de matéria-prima e a conseqüente instalação de frigoríficos em todas as regiões do estado. This paper characterized the livestock expansion in Mato Grosso focusing on different aspects of the historical and economic processes, as well as their maintenance. It allowed the explanation of the various technologies used for cattle breeding since the colonization projects. The State was analyzed in separate regions that have different characteristics. It is also identified the production expansion and the herd quality linked to migration into the State and production of raw materials with consequent installation of slaughterhouses in all regions of the State.
