POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS E CONFLITOS NO CAMPO DO PARÁ: O PAPEL DAS VARAS AGRÁRIAS

Abstract:
O estado do Pará tem sido palco de intensos conflitos pela posse da terra, alguns estudos apontam como origens deste quadro, o modelo agrário concentracionista e excludente proposto para região. Diante desta realidade, em 2001 foram criadas varas agrárias em diferentes municípios do estado, nas regiões que apresentavam o maior número de conflitos pela posse da terra. Atualmente, existem varas agrárias em cinco municípios, Altamira, Redenção, Marabá, Santarém e Castanhal. Teremos como objetivo analisar o papel destas varas especializadas nos conflitos coletivos pela posse da terra no Pará, a partir do estudo de um caso emblemático, o conflito possessório que levou a morte a missionária americana Doroty Stang.--------------------------------------------------The state of Idaho has been the scene of intense conflict for the possession of the land, some studies suggest as sources of this framework, the model agrarian concentracionista and exclusionary proposed to region. Faced with this reality, in 2001 were created sticks land in towns of the state, in regions that had the highest number of conflicts for possession of the land. Currently, there are sticks land in five municipalities, Altamira, Redemption, Marabá, Santarém and Castanhal. We intended to examine the role of these rods specialized in conflicts by collective ownership of land in Idaho, from the study of an emblematic case, the conflict that led to the death possessório the American missionary Doroty Stang.
