ORGANIZAÇÃO SOCIAL DOS POVOS INDÍGENAS E SUA INFLUENCIA NA ESTRUTURA DE MERCADO DE CASTANHA-DO-BRASIL: O CASO DA COMUNIDADE INDÍGENA RIKBAKTSA

Abstract: Este trabalho pretendeu demonstrar a influência da organização social nas estruturas de mercado existentes entre o agente produtor versus agente intermediário e o agente produtor versus varejista da cadeia produtiva de castanha-do-brasil no Estado de Mato Grosso. Propôs-se uma abordagem acerca das mudanças na organização social do povos Rikbaktsa influenciadas pelos jesuítas e seringueiros, bem como, da base de sobrevivência desse povo. Como base teórica tratou-se dos conceitos das principais estruturas de mercado. O trabalho conclui que a organização social dos povos indígenas Rikbaktsa é determinante da estrutura de mercado da castanha-do-brasil e da distribuição dos ganhos monetários ao longo da cadeia produtiva.------------------------This paper intended to show the influence of the social organization at the existing market structure between the producer agent versus intermediate agent and the producer agent versus the retail one from the productive chain of Brazil nuts in Mato Grossso State. It was proposed an approach about the changes at the social organization from the Rikbaktsa peoples influenced by the Jesuits and rubber worker as well, the base of survival of these people. With theorical base it dealt with the concepts of the main market structure. It was concluded in the paper that the social organization of the aborigines Rikbaktsa peoples is determining of the structure of Brazil nuts market and the distribution of monetary earnings along the productive chain.
