Abstract: The development of farmers' producer co-operatives, in the privet sector, can make a significant contribution to the improvements that are urgently required in agricultural production of Uzbekistan. Farmers' co-operatives can provide input-supply, marketing and processing operations in the private sector. In this report, relevant areas within the agricultural sector were reviewed, constraints identified and recommendations made for the future development of farmers' co-operatives in Uzbekistan.
