No 311148, Marketing Research Reports from United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service, Transportation and Marketing Program
Abstract:
Excerpt from the report Summary: This report presents the results of preliminary laboratory evaluation tests made with 534 experimental compounds to determine their efficacy as repellents against stored-product insects. The studies were conducted at the Savannah, Ga. , laboratory as part of a research program on the development of insect-resistant packaging to find additional materials other than pyrethrum, the only chemical approved for package treatment by the Food and Drug Administration at the present time.
