Use of Electricity on Farms: A Summary Report of Ten Area Studies

Joe F. Davis

No 308786, Agricultural Information Bulletins from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service

Abstract: Excerpt from the report Highlights: This report was written to summarize some of the more significant results of studies on the use of electricity in 10 major type-of-farming areas of the country. These studies had two primary objectives: (1) To establish criteria that would be useful in estimating future consumption of electricity on farms of different types and in different situations, and (2) to develop information that would be useful to farmers--to appraise some of the ways in which electricity and electrical equipment can be used to further the goals of farmers and their families.
