Excerpts from the report: This booklet outlines the program of marketing research underway in the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), United States Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with State agricultural experiment stations and private industry. Marketing research in AMS covers 4 broad fields of work: (1) analyzing costs and practices, (2) reducing waste and maintaining quality, (3) improving handling and facilities, and (4) expanding markets for farm products.
