Irrigation on Western Farms

L. R. Swarner and Et Al. [+6]

No 308861, Agricultural Information Bulletins from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service

Abstract: Excerpt from the report Foreword: Conservation of irrigation water through proper handling is becoming more and more important as demands on our water supplies increase. Water management is equally important whether it is in the project system, in farm ditches or on the land. During the past 15 years, better and easier methods of water application have been developed. They are based on research and have been tested by irrigation farmers in the West. The purpose of "Irrigation on Western Farms" is to introduce these new or improved methods and to help you apply them.
