The Land Utilization Program, 1934 to 1964: Origin, Development, and Present Status
H.H. Wooten
No 305647, Agricultural Economic Reports from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service
Abstract:
Excerpt from the report summary: Case studies of 12 projects illustrate the wide diversity of land use problems in different regions of the country—the past ill-adopted use for agriculture, and the shift to use for parks, wildlife refuges, forest, and grasslands. How better usage has been brought about is shown by description of improvement and management.
