No 307386, Agricultural Economic Reports from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service
Abstract:
Excerpt from the Report: This study of a low-income rural area in the South determines (1) the number and condition of occupied rural housing units in 1966, (2) the changes that have occurred in housing conditions since 1960, and (3) the cost of upgrading the quality of rural housing to various levels of adequacy. Selected for study was a 10-county area of the Northeast Coastal Plain of South Carolina. The area had housing conditions quite similar to those found generally throughout the South in 1960.
