Abstract: This supplement summarizes major changes to the procedures described in the 12 volumes of Major Statistical Series of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (AH-671) published between 1987 and 1990. In the past, the handbook was revised after about 15 years, but with the pace of change increasing, some volumes of the last handbook are now being revised after only 3-4 years.
