Global Competitive Advantages and Overall Bilateral Complementarity in Agriculture

Abstract: This report provides a time-series statistical overview of agricultural trade by the United States, 113 foreign countries, and principal regions. It also provides statistics for 15 agricultural industries. The authors present various economic statistics, including export and import shares, indexes of competitive advantage and disadvantage, correlation coefficients that summarize foreign traders' overall bilateral complementarity with the United States, and growth rates of these various statistics.
